Mija's Puppies
Mija's puppies are in the picture above. She had a litter of five on January 17, and they are looking for a good home. She had 1 male and 4 females. Mija is about 6 pds. Mija is 3/4 Yorshire Terrier and a 1/4 Poodle. Mija was bread with a pure bread Yorkshire Terrier, making her puppies 7/8 Yorkshire Terrier and 1/8 poodle, giving them, as I see it, the perfect temperment, disposition, and appear. The father to the puppies weighs about 4 1/2 pds, so the puppies will vary from 4-6 pds in weight when full grown, they will tend to be smaller as their parents. These puppies are family raised and each one is given individual care and attention each day. Their tails are docked, they have been dew clawed, and dewormed. The puppies will be ready go to their new homes at ten weeks of age, March 28. You should always inquire about the mother and father of the puppies because the puppies are often a reflection of the parents in size, colour and disposition. Mija's hair is grey blond when it is short and blond when it is longer. At times, Mija has been referred to as a Silky Yorkiepoo. Mija's puppies will be very similar to her in colour when they are mature.

Yorkiepoo Information
Yorkiepoos are a hybrid and are referred to as a lap dog, similar to the Yorkshire Terrier, the Yorkiepoo's small size makes it a toy breed. The great thing about a hybrid is that they don't usually have genetic issues that pure breads tend to have. Yorkiepoos are a mix between a Yorkshire terrier and Poodle (50%/50%). They are very smart, affectionate, loyal, and agile . It is common for this breed to become more attach to the person that cares for it. Yorkiepoos vary in size from 5-10 pds (3-5 kgs) depending on the size of their parents. Yorkiepoo puppies are born completely black and lighten up to a tan colour by about 1 year of age, depending on the colour of the parents. The Yorkiepoo makes an excellent companion or family pet. There are different colours of Yorkiepoos: black and tan, apricot, silver, and white.
Some things to know about a Yorkiepoo:
- A Yorkiepoo puppy is non-shedding and hypo-allergenic.
- Yorkiepoos have tear ducts, so on occassion they need a little cleaning around their eyes to keep them kept clean.
- Your puppy will probably be lonely for the first couple of days and may not eat much or be very playful.
- Don’t use a neck collar to walk your Yorkiepoo, they need to be in a body harness to not injure their throat.
- Their nails should be clipped every 6 months or so, a little bleeding is normal when their nails are cut.
- Regular combing will help prevent matting, cut any matting away using thinning scissors or regular scissors.
- Keep hair trimmed away from their bottom for proper hygiene, this is important when they are puppies.
- I suggest keeping your puppy off any carpet until it is trained so they learn to do their business on a doggy pad or outside.
- Rough play trains a dog to be more aggressive.
- Use dog shampoo when giving your dog a bath (about every 3weeks).
- If you change you dogs diet, do it slowly so they do not get an upset stomach.
- Keep in mind your dogs disposition will largely depend on the owner.
